Canada DVD ClubI am a member of a DVD Club here in Canada. To be more specific we really have a movie club but since all movies are available on DVD now we slowly started calling ourselves a DVD club.
With online DVD rentals we Canadians no matter what part of the country we are in can have just as much aces to all the available movies as any other person in the world. Now we each get online and rent a few DVDs and then we get together and watch what each considers the best of their pick. To make it even more interesting each member of our club chooses one particular genre that they are going to focus on for a few months so that we can be sure to watch a wide variety of movies and not double up on types of flicks. One week we watch a horror and then the next an action, the following week we might watch a classic and then a romantic comedy. Since we have a quite a few members we end up seeing a good selection of genres and production types. One of the biggest Canadian online renters of DVDs is Zip.ca but we have also had good success with some of the smaller ones. |
