Canada Online DVDs
Something interesting I found out after coming up north is that here in Canada the online DVD titles you can rent are not all the same as the DVD titles in the United States of America. Don’t get me wrong, with companies in the States like Netflix that has a combined list of over 50,000 movie titles you can find any specific movie or genre that you might possibly want. But here in Canada there are also all not only all of the standard typical Hollywood movies but there are also the locally made Canadian movies as well as a much better selection of both European and Asian movies.
Since arriving in Canada and subscribing to one of the online DVD rental companies here I have seen some really interesting movies that I never even knew existed.
The service here is more or less comparable with that either in the States or England and I haven’t had any complaints. Of course no matter where you are you always want to make sure that before you fork out money to a company they are going to deliver the goods. Before I signed up with my rental company I asked some neighbors which one they would recommend and then went with the most often mentioned company which turned out to be one called Zip.ca.
The demand for online DVD renting is not as big here in Canada as it is in the US but I imagine that this will change with time and then the monthly fees for renting movies will go down.
