Although in the USA there are a lot of different companies that offer Internet DVD rentals, here in Canada the number of World Wide Web sites that offer this service is also growing.
DVD movies are perfectly suited to us here in Canada and I really don’t know how we ever managed to survive with only VHS tapes with all of their technical limitations for so long and still have fun. The choices of languages and other cool features available on DVDs makes them ideal for countries like ours with such a wide diversity of ethnic races, languages and cultural backgrounds.
When we had videos the available options were limited to one recorded language and one language in subtitles running along the bottom of the screen. Now with DVDs you can choose from an extensive list of languages and then you can also choose another language to appear as subtitles.
Of course you can also choose from many other features in the DVD menu, like running commentaries by the director or actors, special features, games, etc…
All of these extras make even cheap DVD players a superbly better option and a more economical one than the old VHS video machines.
Now with the ability to rent DVDs online, anyone who has internet access and a DVD machine can have open and constant access to all the new releases as well a multitude of other programs; sports, documentaries, TV series and “How To” videos, just to name a few.
