Portable DVD Player from Canada
Just got a Portable DVD Player from Canada but since it is the first DVD player I have ever owned I didn’t even know where to begin getting DVDs from. Thankfully a friend informed me of the smashing new sensation to hit personal home entertainment, online DVD rental.
So I got online and logged onto this site that had information about some of the biggest of the online DVD rental “virtual” stores. The biggest of the online rental services is called Netflix but there are also some others, known and unknown, like Blockbuster, Walmart, Film Movement, QwickFlicks and Mentura. This is not all of the options available of course but within the United States of America these are some of the best.
In Canada the biggest online DVD rental store is Zip.ca, they also happen to have the largest selection of new releases, series, and classics of any of the Canadian companies.
The services of all these various companies differ in some small and some larger ways. Generally though they are all more or less alike. You start by getting into their web sites and then subscribing for a fee of around $15 to $20, then you choose what titles you want from their online list and they send you from three to eight titles depending on how much you paid. When you are done with your DVDs you send them back at which time they will send you more of the titles you had previously picked out. One of the great features of this system is that you can keep the DVDs for as long as you want without incurring any late fee.
