This guy I know who had recently moved to Canada from Asia asked me the other day what the best way to rent DVDs in Canada was. It seems that in Asia there are pirated DVDs available on every corner. So when he got here he was having a hard time getting movies.
Of course I explained to him about online DVD rental. Which is a set up that allows you to rent as many DVDs as you want for a flat fee per month.
Part of the beauty of this way of renting DVDS is that you can keep a revolving library of up to 3, 5 or 8 DVDs at a time depending on the plan you pay for. And then you can exchange them for new available DVDs as often as you like. The number of DVDs you rent within a given period of time depends entirely on how quickly you watch and return each of your DVDs.
You don’t have to pay any shipping fees because most of the online DVD rental companies, priority mail the DVDs to your home with a preaddressed envelope included. When you are ready to mail the DVDs back you just stick them in the envelope and drop it in the mail.
After my Asian friend had been using the service for a couple months I asked him what he thought and he told me that the selection of movies that you can rent as DVDs is much better here and that he is very happy with the overall service.
