Sony DVD Recorder from Canada
The Christmas before last, I was in Canada and I got a Sony DVD recorder. It was a nice gift and although I bought a few DVDs throughout the year I didn’t really use it as much as I wanted to. Then last Christmas my dad, an avid movie watcher, got me a paid subscription to an online DVD rental company. At first I wasn’t sure what it was all about and didn’t really use the service too much but that was before I went to visit my dad.
It turned out that my dad had been using Internet DVD rentals for quiet a while now and was absolutely sold on them. He his monthly subscription package allows him to have eight DVDs at a time and he can get as many new ones as he wants at any given time, as long as he returns the old ones of course.
Well when I saw how much he was using the service and what good usage he was getting out of it I decided right then and there to make more out of what I had. So when I got back home the first thing I did was to review my subscription to find out exactly what was available to me. I then created my very own “wish list” and ordered the first three.
I watched all three DVD movies in the first three days and sent them all back to get another three.
Since then rarely a week goes by that I don’t get a couple of new movies. I don’t always go for the new releases but prefer to mix and match the oldie goldies with the newer stuff.
